English ( Une version francaise suivra) -Our Mission:To create a national community of transdisciplinary mental health researchers and clinicians that will champion an inclusive and accessible mental health care system for children, youth, and families in Canada. No one university or mental health care organization can do this alone. We must co-create together to divert the course of mental health care in this country.We will promote inclusivity through disseminating diverse cultural knowledges about mental health in children, youth, and their families; teaching about the role of socio-historical context in their mental health care; and supporting a framework for practice that integrates and does not compartmentalize these knowledges.We will promote accessibility through disseminating practical knowledge about technologies that can facilitate mental health care and by promoting research collaborations with non-academic experts in industry and communities.Notre missionCréer une communauté nationale de chercheurs et de cliniciens transdisciplinaires en santé mentale qui se feront les champions d’un système de soins de santé mentale inclusif et accessible pour les enfants, les jeunes et les familles au Canada. DISRUPT.</h3><h3>Inclusive Child &amp; Youth Mental Health: Training for the Digital Age</h3>*Live interpretation English to French will be provided via Zoom.Enrolment is open to everyone and anyone interested in more inclusive ways to approach mental health and how technology can enable greater reach (including those in academia, industry &amp; NGOs) May 17th – June 21st 2024.<a href="https://www.divertmentalhealth.ca/" title="https://www.divertmentalhealth.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DIVERT Mental Health</a> is excited to host a one-day event that brings mental health trainees, faculty, clinicians, industry, and NGO staff to learn together. The event is dedicated to innovative learning activities taught by a multisectoral group of experts ranging from patient-partners to policy makers and clinicians to researchers to innovators. Our day focuses on the intersection of inclusivity (diverse ways of understanding mental health; diverse populations) and accessibility (innovative technologies that increase reach of mental health interventions) in mental health. Participants from a diverse area of disciplines are invited, particularly psychology, medicine, nursing, social work, rehabilitation sciences, computer sciences.
