Photonics North is hosting a startup pitch competition to promote entrepreneurship and support technology commercialization

Vancouver Convention Centre

Eligibility -	Individuals plan to start a company in photonics in Canada-	Pre-seed Canadian photonic start-ups try to raise their first angel money outside the family and friendsRegistration -	Monday May 13th to Friday May 24th Participate-	Must pre-register to pitch-	Registration is free and open to conference attendees, non-conference attendees, and general public -	Must present the pitch in person-	Prepare a 3-min pitch with or without a 2-page PPT-	Come, be yourself and show o	Your idea o	Your passion o	Your plan, and o	Your dedicationBenefit-	Become a member of the Photons North Founders Circle-	Network with investors, service providers and fellow entrepreneurs -	Eligible to apply for future IEEE Canada coaching and mentorship programs for startups-	Winner receives a $1,000 best pitcher prize
