Whether you're a first time fruit tree owner or a seasoned  pro, come and sharpen your pruning skills at our  dormant pruning workshop!

Welland Legacy Park & Community Orchard

Taking a saw or some shears to a beloved fruit tree can be intimidating! Proper and timely pruning however, is essential in maintaining tree-health—preventing disease and damage—and supplying you with bountiful harvest of luscious summer fruits! Come and join LifeCycles Project Society at the Rex Welland Legacy Orchard in View Royal, where we’ll be putting on an interactive dormant pruning workshop. Led by one of our resident expert orchardists, Toby Hewton, you’ll be walked through the basics of the art, accompanied by a live pruning demonstration. All tree-related questions are welcome!Come dressed for the elements as we’ll be out on the orchard. Carpooling, busing and cycling are all encouraged, so tell your neighbours and friends and make an excursion out of it! See you there! $25/person if booked in advance, or $30 at the doorSpots are limited.
