Free trial class for the 12-class introductory session to Yuan Qi Gong (Ren Xue system) starting September 19.

You have the option of coming to the course live on Zoom on September 12, or listening to the recording the week after. Those who come to the live class on Zoom will have a $10 promo code applicable to the Fall 2024 session. <h1>Description</h1>There are various forms of Qi Gong (pronounced "chi"), much like different styles of dance or martial arts. I teach Yuan Qi Gong from the Ren Xue system, which is my favorite among the approaches I've tried. It's gentle yet powerful. Some say Qi Gong is like a moving meditation because the first methods involve slow, flowing movements similar to Tai Chi. Practicing Qi Gong promotes mental, emotional, and physical health. Come and experience the benefits!I'm offering a session of 12 introductory classes where we'll practice Yuan Qi Gong methods 1 and 2, along with several related exercises. In the final class, I'll also introduce method 3. These Zoom classes will include method practice, guided meditations, theory presented with PowerPoint, and Q&amp;A periods. The classes are light, joyful, and relaxing.You don't need to be in great physical shape to participate. Everyone is encouraged to listen to their body, and the methods can easily be adapted for those with physical limitations. <h1>Schedule</h1>Live Zoom class will be on Zoom on Thursday September 12th.<ul><li>Eastern Time Zone: noon</li><li>Central Time Zone: 11am</li><li>Mountain Time Zone: 10am</li><li>Pacific time : 9am</li></ul>If you cannot attend the live trial class, you can watch the recording, which will be available for one week after the class. The class series will start the week after, on Thursday Septembre 19th at the same time. <h1>Zoom link</h1>The Zoom link will be sent to you 24 hours before the event and again 1 hour before. <h1>About Laurence</h1>I have a PhD in engineering from McGill University, where <a href="https://www.bic.mni.mcgill.ca/~lamer/index.html" title="https://www.bic.mni.mcgill.ca/~lamer/index.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">my research focused on image-guided neurosurgery</a>. I then worked in a corporate environment for a few years, and it was there that my passion for teaching meditation was born in 2013, when I started offering lunchtime classes to my colleagues.In March 2014, I made a big shift and decided to leave the world of engineering research to teach mindfulness meditation full time! A few months later, I completed my certification as a meditation teacher at the McLean Meditation Institute in Arizona. Since 2014, I’ve been teaching mindfulness to the general public, in corporations, government offices, hospitals, libraries, schools, and more.In 2022, I added another string to my bow and became a <a href="https://www.renxueinternational.org/" title="https://www.renxueinternational.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ren Xue Qi Gong</a> teacher.
