My name is Alexandra Dobre and I am a Plant-Based Educator and a Licensed Food For Life Instructor with the Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine (PCRM). I provide evidence-based nutrition education and cooking classes that focus on a low fat, high fiber, whole foods plant-based diet. I have a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from AFPA and I've been vegan for the last 10 years. I'm here to share my passion for cooking with plants and show you how easy and delicious cooking with plants can be.  I also hold an MLIS and  doing an MEd part time.

Overview: This introductory class is part of the Cancer Project Series: The Power of Food for Cancer Prevention and Survival from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). The Cancer Project curriculum is aimed at guiding participants in making the critical connection between diet and the risk of developing various forms of cancer. In this class, you will learn about the right food choices that can help reduce the risk of developing cancer as well as&nbsp; overcome the disease after it has been diagnosed.
