Join us for an intimate evening filled with anecdotes, insights, and perhaps even a musical performance or two.

Please note: This event will be presented in Italian. Seating is limited and not guaranteed; please arrive early, as admission is on a first-come basis.The Istituto Italiano di Cultura is thrilled to co-host a special event with acclaimed Italian actor, director, and musician Rocco Papaleo. Papaleo is in Toronto to present his films at the Lavazza IncluCity Festival by ICFF.Audiences will undoubtedly remember his comedic genius in the film Basilicata Coast to Coast, which won the 2011 David di Donatello awards for Best Supporting Actress (Valentina Lodovini), Best Musician (Rita Marcotulli), Best Original Song (Gimmi Cantucci and Max Gazzé), and honoured Papaleo with the Best Debut Director award.After the presentation, head over to the festival at the Distillery District, where you can experience or relive the adventures of Basilicata Coast to Coast.For a schedule of Rocco Papaleo's films featured at the festival, <a href="https://icff.ca/" title="https://icff.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CLICK HERE</a> to visit the ICFF website.The afternoon is presented by the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto and the Lavazza IncluCity Festival by ICFF. ABOUT ROCCO PAPALEOAntonio Rocco Papaleo, born in Lauria, Basilicata, began his entertainment career in Rome. He's a versatile performer, with over 60 films, TV series, and 30 plays to his credit. Papaleo made his directorial debut with the acclaimed film "Basilicata Coast to Coast" (2010), earning several awards. He directed and starred in "Una piccola impresa meridionale" (2013), "Onda su Onda" (2016), and "Scordato" (2023). As a musician, he released albums in 1997 and 2012, winning the Gaber Prize and touring Italy with theatre-song performances. Papaleo also presented the Sanremo Festival (2012), "Zelig" (2014), and appeared in "DopoFestival" (2019).
