Social work ethics

Members of the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers are required to complete annual professional development, which must include training related to social work ethics.

Let’s explore the impact of supervision on ethical social work practice. Join George Savoury, MSW, RSW as he shares an overview of the importance of regular structured clinical supervision and its connection to the delivery of safe(R) social work practice.While the content of this session may be interesting and useful for any of our members, it may have particular value for social work educators, managers, candidacy mentors, supervisors of practicum students, and clinical supervisors. <h3>Eligibility</h3>There are no prerequisites for this session. You'll need a device that can use <a href="https://zoom.us/test" title="https://zoom.us/test" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Zoom</a>, and a reasonably reliable internet connection.All active, associate, retired associate, and student members of the <a href="https://nscsw.org" title="https://nscsw.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Nova Scotia College of Social Workers</a> are welcome to attend; our professional development programming is part of our member services funded by <a href="https://issuu.com/nscsw/docs/connection_spring2023_webfinal/42" title="https://issuu.com/nscsw/docs/connection_spring2023_webfinal/42" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">annual registration fees</a>. <h3>Professional development tracking</h3>For members of NSCSW, participating in this event is eligible to fulfill the annual requirement for professional development related to social work ethics.
