The Richmond Hill Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) is an innovative partnership between provincial and municipal government, belonging to a network of over fifty (50) Small Business Enterprise Centres across the Province. The SBEC provides a one-stop source of services and programs for Richmond Hill's entrepreneurs and small businesses. Are you looking to start up or scale up a company? Get funded with Starter Company Plus!

Starter Company Plus is a program designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs in Richmond Hill, start, grow and succeed in their businesses. The program provides participants with training sessions on business fundamentals, and up to 13 recipients are given an opportunity to receive $5,000 in funding to help them launch or expand their businesses as well as mentorship with industry experts. The program includes workshops and coaching to help entrepreneurs develop their business plans, marketing strategies, financial management skills, and other essential business skills. Once participants complete the training sessions, they may apply for funding to help them launch or expand their businesses. The funding can be used for business-related expenses, such as equipment purchases, marketing, and other start-up costs. The goal of the Starter Company Plus program is to provide entrepreneurs with the support they need to start and grow successful businesses, create jobs, and contribute to the economic growth of Ontario. We are organizing a virtual Information Session for interested entrepreneurs to understand about the Program and its timelines. This session will explain how the Starter Company Plus program works, and what entrepreneurs need to keep in mind to submit a successful application.
