NSCSW workshop: Understanding clinical supervision

NSCSW invites social workers in Nova Scotia to learn about new regulations and guidelines regarding clinical social work supervision

In 2024 the NSCSW has implemented new regulations regarding the private practice of clinical social work. One of the requirements for RSWs who apply for the new clinical social work specialization is to have their clinical abilities assessed by a clinical supervisor. This workshop will:<ul><li>Review Assessment Criteria: Explain the standards used to evaluate clinical abilities.</li><li>Provide Orientation: Guide participants on how to complete the assessment process.</li><li>Discuss Supervision Guidelines: Outline the new <a href="https://nscsw.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/NSCSW-Clinical-Supervision-Guidelines-May-2024.pdf" title="https://nscsw.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/NSCSW-Clinical-Supervision-Guidelines-May-2024.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">clinical supervision guidelines</a>.</li><li>Q&A Session: Allow attendees to ask questions and seek clarification.</li></ul>RSWs interested in applying for this specialization may find a <a href="https://nscsw.org/applicants/clinical-application" title="https://nscsw.org/applicants/clinical-application" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">detailed application guide on the NSCSW website</a>.
