The Labour Market Group of Renfrew & Lanark

You’re Invited to a Labour Market Community Consultation Led by the Labour Market Group of Renfrew and Lanark Counties    The labour market is changing rapidly with new trends that have evolved since we spoke last year. Canada’s unemployment rate is gradually increasing, particularly for young people, but there continues to be widespread labour shortages in some sectors, such as health care.   Inflation has been slowed, but the cost of living remains high for housing and food, resulting in more labour disruptions as collective bargaining focuses on the rising cost of living.    Join the Renfrew-Lanark Labour Market Working Group for one of four community consultations as we tackle the tough questions of how rural areas can address their workforce needs now and into the future.
