Community Meetings are open to: people living with brain injury, families, friends, professionals and anyone who wants to learn about ABI.

Interested in discovering new treatment options? Here’s how you can be part of research.Have you ever been curious about how researchers develop new drugs? You might be able to contribute to research by participating on studies.Even if you’re not interested in volunteering for research, you can learn how to understand your treatment options before making important decisions with your healthcare providers.<ul><li>We’ll talk about:</li><li>How clinical trials work (i.e.studies of new medications or medical devices in humans)</li><li>What it might look like to participate in clinical trials</li><li>How to find and interpret information about treatment options that are in development</li></ul>

<h3> </h3>Speaker: <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/in/alison-foo" title="http://www.linkedin.com/in/alison-foo" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Alison Foo</a> is a Clinical Research Professor, Career, Communication, and Leadership Coach. She loves teaching and has worked with students, newcomers and professionals including people with disabilities. You may recognize her from BIST events as she’s a member, Board Director, and Advocacy Committee Co-Chair.When she’s not teaching, she volunteers, watches Asian TV, and hangs out with her rescue dog.
