Lake Trail Community Education Society is a non-profit society run by a board of community members. Our office is located in Lake Trail Community Middle School where our Community School Coordinator works with staff, students, and community partners.Parents of a Lake Trail Community School student are automatically a member of LTCES.LTCES provides educational, recreational and cultural programs for all children, youth, adults and seniors in the Lake Trail community.The society strives to build community through knowledge sharing, creating opportunities for partnerships and collaboration for shared use of the school. We plan and host community events, community gardening, afterschool, evening and weekend programs for all ages regardless of whether or not you have a student at the school. Lake Trail Community Middle School

A garden that feeds us year around must be fed. Improving the soil, increasing and maintaining fertility, and supporting soil life is one of the gardener’s most important tasks.This workshop is offered in a classroom setting at Lake Trail Community Middle School. You will learn how to build healthy soil to support healthy plants that produce more delicious food!*** This is a repeat of the popular February 10th workshop: Soil &amp; Fertility: Preparing the Garden for the Year Around Harvest----Elaine Codling is a Permaculture Design Consultant and teacher with training in both Canada and Australia. She has more than 25 years of experience organic gardening and green living.----Tickets are $20, plus online processing fee. If unable to pay online, or should you wish to avoid the processing fee, registrations can be purchased by cash or cheque at the LTCES office at Lake Trail Community Middle School (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) or the Lake Trail school office if we are not in. Registration forms are available at the school or can be downloaded at www.LTCES.ca.Please make cheques out to: Lake Trail Community Education Society.We aim to make LTCES programs and workshops barrier free.
