Abattoir Birthday Bash

The Salt Spring Agricultural Alliance isan independent, non-profit organization established in 2008 as one of the recommendations of the Local Area Farm Plan to carry out its implementation. We also advocate for local agricultural interests to all levels of government, and work to secure funding to support agricultural initiatives on Salt Spring Island.

Celebrate the Salt Spring Abattoir's 7th b-day and help raise money to  keep it in good repair. Dinner, music, cash bar and an auction!

Fulford Community Hall

Join us on Saturday November 9th for the 7th Annual Abattoir Birthday Bash at Fulford Hall. Enjoy live music from Scout and Tom, a farm to table buffet featuring local pork, turkey, and lots of vegetarian options + dessert prepared by Sweetgrass Food Co. Bid on tons of awesome donations from local businesses and tradespeople in our silent auction, enjoying MCing by Chris Humphreys, and raise money for the abattoir while doing so! All proceeds go to the Salt Spring Agricultural Alliance: helping promote sustainability and resiliency through local food production. Help keep the abattoir running smoothly and support all the local farmers who grew your food! We will also have a cash bar with local wine, cider and beer.
