Absolute Beginner Hand-Sewing Workshop

There's a lot more that goes into making clothes than poking a string through some cloth. This is a workshop for people who want to sew but have no idea how to get started. Everyone who attends will design a piece of clothing, make the pattern, prepare the fabric, cut the pieces, and hand-stitch it together in a 3-hour period. The catch is that it won't be for you, it'll be for Barbie.

Don't worry though! Once you've seen the process through and learned each step, the skills can be scaled up to whatever dimensions your real body has. Barbie is a convenient model because she's just shy of twelve inches tall, but the process is exactly the same for humans too.
