Two local heroes - Jon Thurston, a 2026 Paralympic Gold Medalist and Dunsford native, and WynnVan Kooten, a local teen athlete whose journey is a powerful example of resilience, strength, and determination, will speak about their personal journeys and experiences, the importance of accessibility in sport and community spaces and a new generation of athletes who are helping shift perspectives around disability, ability, and inclusion.

Hands-on Wheelchair Basketball Clinic
Take your shot! Tamara Steeves, a four-time Paralympian and Eric Voss, a Team Canada wheelchair basketball athlete will lead a clinic where you can try out wheelchair basketball technology and equipment, while learning about inclusion, accessibility, and belonging through movement.
