Actor's Nightmare: Half Scripted, Half Improv, All Comedy

Founded in 1994, Instant Theatre has spent the last twenty years becoming the East Van comedy juggernaught it is today. From improv to standup to sketch, we've honed our wit to bring the cream of cutting edge comedy to the hungry audiences at Havana theatre on Commercial Drive.Aside from our regular shows, we also teach comedy at our Studio on East Broadway. Instant Theatre

Every actor has a nightmare where they find themselves on stage without knowing any of their lines, or even having read the script! The Actor's Nightmare brings this to life, pairing a guest actor who has completely memorized their lines from a play—and will stick to those lines no matter what—with an improviser who not only hasn’t memorized any lines, but will have no idea what play they’re even in. Six actor/improviser pairings. Six wild and crazy mashed up scenes from five different plays—which, thanks to the talented improvisers and actors, will somehow make total sense! The Actor’s Nightmare is a hilarious high wire act, a head on collision of theatre and improv that will leave you breathless! 10:30pm at Havana Theatre on Commercial Drive. Tickets are $10 or $7 if you have a receipt from Havana.
