To participate, farmers must email Carol (Ckruck@bdo.ca) by Feb.1 their own farms’ gross revenues for the last year and ideally the last 5 years.
Carol, as an accountant and benchmarking specialist, will help participants better understand how gross revenue relates to profitability and see their own farm’s five-year trends. This session will focus on key ratios, comparing the whole group’s average gross revenues to the benchmark of top farms in their sector and how to use benchmarks to set goals. Followed by Q&A. Each participant will go home with a graph of their revenue trends and benchmarks.
