AGM & Tech Talk!

We're back at the Wild Rose Brewery, this time for our AGM & Technical Talk on Wednesday, June 17...

The AGM will kick off with a welcome address from Amar Mehta, ISA Calgary Section 2025-2026 President. Following this we'll introduce our 2026-2027 Board, review financials, and close the AGM with a question & answer period.

Then during dinner you will hear from our Technical Talk presenter Paula Canas on Navigating the Platform Calgary Ecosystem.

Paula Canas is the Manager of Founder Success at Platform Calgary, where she oversees the Founder Success team, which focuses on streamlining the journey for early-stage startups, helping them navigate the complexities of product validation and market entry. She is a dedicated advocate for Calgary's startup community, bridging the gap between early-stage founders and the resources they need to transition from idea to scale. Paula’s work is rooted in building a diverse, collaborative, and sustainable tech landscape that positions Calgary as a global leader in innovation.

Session Topic: Navigating the Platform Calgary Ecosystem

In this session, Paula will provide a roadmap of the resources available at Platform Calgary and how the ISA community can actively participate. She will explain the benefits of Platform Calgary membership, highlight upcoming workshops, and detail the various cohort programs designed to help startups scale. Paula will also touch on key ecosystem events and provide clear guidance on how attendees can take advantage of these offerings to bolster their own ventures or provide expertise to others. The session will conclude with a dedicated Q&A to dive deeper into specific interests.
