AI & Automation for Project Managers
A practical course for project managers to use AI and automation to speed delivery, reduce waste, and improve visibility.
AI & Automation for Project Managers 101 is a hands-on course designed to help project managers identify, design, and implement AI and automation in their workflows to improve speed, reduce waste, and increase visibility across projects.
This beginner-to-intermediate course emphasizes practical application, showing how AI can support all stages of a project. Participants will spot automation opportunities, design workflows using Lean principles, and gain hands-on experience with tools like Airtable, Power Automate, Make, and Smartsheet to build simple automations that boost productivity and delivery outcomes.
Session 2 | Build Day
Date: Saturday, February 28
Time: 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Location: Memorial University of Newfoundland, Arts & Administration Building, Room A1043
This second session is a hands-on Build Day, focused on creating real automations and workflows for project management tasks. Participants will explore triggers, actions, and conditions, work with low-code/no-code tools, and compare in-built tool automations versus cross-tool workflows. Working individually or in groups, participants will build a simple automation for a real project activity, guided by experienced facilitators, and practice applying their learning immediately.
Refreshments will be provided, offering participants a chance to connect, share insights, and expand professional networks.
This training session is part of the Empowerment Bridge Program, a partnership between Expertise Hub Cooperative, IENL – Study and Stay NL, and Verisult, funded by the Newfoundland and Labrador Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism.
