Helping youth put their best foot forward when applying and interviewing for a job.

‘AIMing for Interview Success&#x27; is about putting your best foot forward in your professional development. This webinar will feature a live mock interview - an opportunity to learn how to answer commonly asked questions with our best practices and tactical support. We will also discuss the importance of interpersonal or ‘soft skills’ in the workplace.Soft skills—also referred to as people skills, human skills, or life skills—can help workers and organizations build stronger relationships, inspire ideation, problem solve, empower collaboration, and promote a healthier workplace.Despite the critical importance of soft skills in the workplace, they are notoriously difficult to acquire through traditional training methods. Unlike the latest software, soft skills don’t come with a user manual. They are developed through years of practice, feedback, and self-reflection. The Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) has launched a new course called Agile Industry Mindset, or AIM. AIM is designed to cultivate critical interpersonal skills and empower agile teams working in digital environments. This soft skills course fosters social awareness, emotional intelligence, and active communication. AIM is available through the Youth Boost platform. <a href="https://magnet.whoplusyou.com/lp/Youthboost" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Signing up is easy - and free. </a><a href="https://magnet.whoplusyou.com/lp/Youthboost" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Youth Boost</a> connects youth to paid placements through the Canadian Digital Adoption Program (CDAP).As part of the support CDAP offers, businesses can access funds to hire students or recent graduates between ages 18‑30 for paid placements. Youth participants will gain valuable experience implementing and managing technology solutions and strategies. Powered by Magnet, Youth Boost brings the tools and resources created by partner organizations like Prepped and Prepr into one platform that youth job seekers can access with a free account, making it easier to launch their career.
