Join us in our first ever panel event as we speak with:
- Laura Buhler, Executive Director of the C100
- Kelly Cherniwchan, CEO and Founder of Chata Technologies
- Jay Gohill, President and CEO of Arcurve
- Kris Read, Co-Founder and Head of Engineering at Neo Financial
The first 45 minutes of the event will be focused on the panel discussion followed by a 30-minute question period where panelists will address questions from the audience. The event topics will include panelists’ experiences with scaling businesses and start-ups, what lessons they have learned, what challenges they have faced, and how Alberta could support start-ups and tech companies in the future. Our aim is to inspire Albertans and University of Calgary students to explore the world of start-ups and the technology industry.
Alberta’s Tech Horizon is hosted by Tech Start UCalgary, a new club at the University of Calgary focused on software and startups. We are a student-led organization that provides students with the opportunity to develop new skills through software development projects. We take on interesting and unique problems and employ technology to help solve them. Ultimately our goal is to help students develop their software and business skills and provide them with the experience of working in a team setting.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions Alberta’s Tech Horizon will be hosted over Zoom. All attendees will be emailed the Zoom invitation which will also be accessible through our event page. For more information and help with registration feel free to reach out to us over Instagram @techstartucalgary or through our club email techstartuofc@gmail.com!
