An Evening for Equality

LEAF is a national non-profit organization, founded in 1985. The funding LEAF receives directly supports our vital work in ensuring the law guarantees substantive equality for all women, girls, trans, and non-binary people in Canada. LEAF focuses on litigation, law reform, and public education.  In particular, we seek to advance gender equality by challenging laws, policies, and practices that discriminate against equality guarantees enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, most notably sections 15 and 28.

Celebrate LEAF's Equality Day event on May 30 at 6pm at the Shangri-La in Toronto

LEAF&#x27;s annual Equality Day reception is our largest and most important event - the funds raised directly support our work to advance equality rights. On May 30th, 2023, we&#x27;ll welcome hundreds of LEAF supporters to the Shangri-La Toronto for a cocktail reception. We&#x27;ll share a wonderful evening of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with members of the legal, feminist, academic, activist, corporate, and labour communities.
