This three-hour workshop, lead by Katie Griffin, one of Canada's preeminent voice actors, will give you the tools you need for your journey into Animation.Hosted at Pirate Sound, Toronto's premier recording studio for advertising, film &amp; television audio and music, this fully immersive, in-person workshop will offer a comprehensive, creative and hands on experience. Each individual will have fun learning in-booth instruction while reading a variety of scripts with emphasis on taking direction, microphone technique, developing characters, discovering your 'silly' and finding your own 'voice'.Upon completing the workshop, each person will receive a fully produced and polished recording of their best 'take'.

Agenda

Arrivals and Introductions.

Learning how to get comfortable in the booth.  Mic technique, vocal warm-ups, studio etiquette, understanding the script.  Direction lingo.

Fundamentals of Recording

Getting in the booth. Trying out various scripts.  Understanding timing, direction and having some fun with ad-libs, taking chances and finding your own voice!
