<h2>Anterior Implant Program (Not Immediate Placement)</h2><h3>Participants will learn:</h3><p>•	Use of an evidenced based approach to place anterior implants (delayed technique)</p><p>•	The difference between immediate and delayed approaches</p><p>•	Proper 3D placement of anterior implants</p><p>•	Simultaneous bone grafting using autogenous bone, bovine bone and resorbable membranes</p><p>•	How to use different shaped abutments for successful bone grafting</p><p>•	Release and coronal displacement of flaps</p><p>•	Advanced suturing techniques</p><p>•	Minimally invasive exposure of implants</p><h3>Dates</h3><p>•	September 26, 2022 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm: Hands-on Typodont</p><p>•	October 3, 2022 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm: Hands-on Typodont</p><p>•	December 3, 2022 - 8:00am to 4:00pm: Live Patient Surgery</p><h3>About Dr. Karastathis </h3><p>Dr. Dimitrios Karastathis completed his training in Periodontics and a Masters Degree in Craniofacial Sciences from the University of British Columbia in 2011. He currently owns and operates a full-time periodontal practice in Vancouver, where he performs numerous surgical procedures including pocket elimination surgery, crown lengthening, gingival grafting, and complex bone grafting and implant placement. In addition to his practice, Dr. Karastathis teaches the residents at VGH and UBC, and lectures both nationally and internationally on the topics of peri-implant disease, gingival grafting, and implant planning and placement.
