This is the third session of a series of webinars called “Arbitration Boot Camp”, in which arbitrator Lisa C. Munro, FCIArb, Q. Arb, shares practical tips on arbitration topics of interest to commercial arbitration and litigation practitioners. This session will provide practical strategies around ethical issues related to bias and challenging the arbitrator.

Topics include:

  • Arbitrator disclosure obligations
  • Tools available to analyze conflicts of interest
  • Tips for challenging an arbitrator for bias – test and procedure
  • Practical issues

Arbitration and commercial litigation counsel, in-house counsel, and arbitrators from across Canada will find this session of interest. Attendees will receive useful resources that they can apply in their own practices.

About Lisa

Lisa C. Munro is a partner at Lerners LLP and a roster arbitrator at Arbitration Place. She is also on the Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society (TCAS), ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Canada, and Vancouver International Arbitration Centre (VanIAC) rosters of arbitrators.

Her work involves acting as a neutral arbitrator in domestic and international commercial arbitration (both ad hoc and under institutional rules). She also provides consulting services for counsel who are engaged in arbitration.
