Music BC is a non-profit society serving the British Columbia music industry through providing essential information, education, funding, advocacy, showcasing, and networking opportunities. Music BC is dedicated to developing the spirit, growth and sustainability of the BC music community by supporting artists of all genres and music professionals throughout the industry.

She’s been influenced by artists such as India Arie, Amy Winehouse and Corinne Bailey Rae. The grand prize winner of the Juno Awards Host Committee Battle of the Bands, Bukola has since performed at the Juno Awards pre-event: Let’s Hear it! Live, the Honey Jam and at NXNE. Bukola has also been featured on eTalk, CBC the National, and MuchMusic. Bukola’s voice can be heard on the 20th Century Studios/Disney+ film, “The Princess”, on the end credit song where she worked with Emmy-nominated composer, Natalie Holt, and multi-platinum producer, Jon Levine. Most recently, Bukola worked with LA based producers, Baca &amp; Brandn (Shay Lia, Hope Tala, Alina Baraz) on her sophomore EP which is slated to drop this fall. <a href="https://www.riungarner.com/" title="https://www.riungarner.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Riun Garner</a>Riun Garner is a Canadian singer-songwriter and actor from Vancouver, Canada. His debut EP “All We Know and All We Forget” which was featured on Spotify editorial playlist “The Most Beautiful Songs in the World” introduced him to listeners globally and achieved him notoriety among industry professionals. Fondly compared to the likes of Elliott Smith, Hovvdy, Alex G, and Phoebe Bridgers. His debut full length album “Nice To Meet Ya” released this past summer marks a significant shift in production and musical accompaniment while still leaning into the fluttering analog tape recorded elements he has used in the past. Riun also recently signed a management deal with industry heavy weights Chris Taylor (Arkells, Lights, Powfu) and Dave Faber (Powfu, Faber Drive). His "Nice To Meet Ya” Deluxe Album dropped Nov 30, 2023 the same night he played in front of 200+ people with his band at The Fox Cabaret in Vancouver BC. Riun starred as a lead role in NBCs romcom “Ms Match” and also had 3 of his songs, Loner, Nice To Meet Ya, and Replace Me featured/synced in the movie. <a href="https://www.jillianlake.com/" title="https://www.jillianlake.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jillian Lake</a>Vancouver indie artist, Jillian Lake, mixes velvet sounds and big feelings to transport you into her world of sweet sorrow in a way that will make you want to take your broken heart out dancing. Feelings transposed onto paper and into music, movements, and visuals - her complex collage of sound with moody folk undertones have a way of drawing her audience in. Riding off the success of her debut record "Younger Then" Jillian has dove into shows debuting her talent across Canada and Europe with notable appearances at Rifflandia, Khatsahlano, as well as opening slots for Frazey Ford &amp; Luca Fogale. Spending the summer touring and in the studio, on the verge of an artist metamorphosis, Jillian has new transcendent music on the horizon. <a href="https://www.ahsia.ca/" title="https://www.ahsia.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">AHSIA</a>Philadelphia-born and Vancouver-raised, AHSIA is a singer, songwriter, producer, poet, educator and activist. With versatile flavours from R&amp;B, Soul, Jazz, to Hip Hop, AHSIA is as driven as they come, with a deep passion for amplifying the voices of marginalized communities. Despite the challenges, she found solace in her art, pouring her heart and soul into every verse. Through her music, AHSIA invites her audience on a journey through her eyes, revealing the trials of self-discovery, the pain, the healing, and the growth through it all. <a href="https://www.ivanhartlemusic.com/" title="https://www.ivanhartlemusic.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ivan Hartle</a>Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Ivan Hartle is a musician who molds a vintage sonic aesthetic with modern elements. Pivoting from a successful US college baseball career into music, he’s been featured as a popular and emerging artist by DailyHive Canada. His bluesy, soul singer-songwriter stylings are drawn from the classic sounds of Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, to new age artists like John Mayer, Amos Lee, and Leon Bridges. Ivan’s memorable live act is flush with melodic grooves and strong, soulful vocals. Performing in notable festivals like Rifflandia, NXNE, Shipyards, Music BC’s ‘Let’s Hear It’ and the Surrey Fusion, Ivan’s also toured Western Canada (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton + more), opened for Jon and Roy, and headlined the McPherson Theatre in Victoria in 2022. In his hometown of Vancouver, BC, he has played noteworthy venues like The Biltmore, Imperial, Cobalt, Guilt and Co., and Fox Cabaret. Alongside national CBC (‘You Got Me’, ‘More to Find’, ‘Feelin’ Like’) and the Netherlands' national NPO radio 2 (‘You Got Me’) airplay, Ivan also has over 1.6 million streams on Spotify (800k+ for ‘Feelin’ Like’, 265k+ for ‘Love in the Lead’), including various editorial placements (Blues Roots, Retro Soul, Mellow Morning + more). With media coverage from the likes of the aforementioned DailyHive Canada, Global News, The Province (B.C.), and Notion, he's poised for continued success following the release of his album ‘A Place to Stay’ on December 15th, 2023. The album includes ‘Love in the Lead’, dubbed a standout single by Clash Magazine. <a href="https://arcprogrambc.com/" title="https://arcprogrambc.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ABOUT ARC:</a>ARC is an intensive accelerator program that highlights, nurtures, and sends into orbit the exciting, diverse voices that beat in BC. This multi-stage program will advance the business, creative, and technical skills of recording artists to help them build sustainable careers in the music industry—both at home and away.
