ArtRide: West
Overview
Discover public art in West Winnipeg!
This 20km guided biking tour explores the intersection of public art, architecture and design.
We will visit the following works:
- Agassiz Ice by Gordon Reeve
- Statues by Ivan Eyre
- Indigenous Peoples Garden
- Gathering Light: Capturing Community by Sarah Crawley and South Valour Residents Association
- Four Flowers by Michael Dumontier
- From Here Until Now by spmb (Eduardo Aquino and Karen Shanski) at Osborne Bridge
Tour will run as scheduled rain or shine but will be cancelled in the event of a thunderstorm.
Tour participants are responsible to provide a bike and helmet. Ask us for bike rental recommendations! Bike Winnipeg volunteers will provide safety marshalls to direct us.
Tours routes are not a loop, but you can be marshalled back to the start if requested.
Remember to pack plenty of water and sunscreen. No facilities are accessible during this ride.
