ASME B31.3 Workshop

✨ We are excited to share that the ASME Southern Alberta Section is teaming up with the ASME B31.3 Committee to bring you a special half‑day workshop on ASME B31.3!

The 2026 committee meeting will be held in Calgary, where the last time they were here was 1995, and we’re marking the occasion with a dedicated workshop on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

At this workshop (valued at $600), Dr. Chuck Becht, Fellow ASME and former Chairman of the ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code, will deliver an in‑depth presentation on ASME B31.3. Dr. Becht is a recognized authority in pressure vessels, piping, expansion joints, and elevated temperature design, with more than 60 publications, two books, and seven patents to his name.

Dr. Becht, Fellow ASME, former Chairman of the ASME B31.3, Process Piping Code, is a recognized authority in pressure vessels, piping, expansion joints, and elevated temperature design. He has more than 60 publications including two books (on B31.3 and B31.1 piping) and seven patents and is a frequent speaker and chairman in technical forums.
