AWS Fall Dinner - Le Papillon

The Australian Wine Society (AWS) of Toronto is a non-profit organization devoted to the enjoyment of Australian wines. Through exposure to wines from diverse wine regions of Australia, the AWS encourages a greater awareness of Aussie wine varietals and styles, in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The opportunity to try a wide range of wines makes it easier for members to decide what to purchase through wine agents and the LCBO.

What happens when you combine a curated selection of Australian wine with French bistro cuisine - a wonderful dinner at Le Papillon.

Le Papillon On Front

We are returning to Le Papillon because of their welcoming staff and excellent food. Le Papillon has been a fixture on the St. Lawrence restaurant scene for many decades and is a favourite of many. They are preparing a wonderful meal for us to enjoy with wines from the AWS cellar, selected by our cellar master - Joe Gentile.The evening will begin with a glass of sparkling wine starting @ 18:30, followed by the dinner seating by 19:00.Cost will be $100 for AWS members, $110 for guests and non-member. All taxes and fees are included. We will try to accommodate dietary restrictions as identified. Wines we will be serving for your tasting pleasure:❖ Lindeman’s Sparkling Rose(very popular at last event AGM) or Jacob&#x27;s Creek Sparkling❖ Gapstead Valley Selection Riesling 2016❖ Voyager Estate Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon 2016 OR D’Arenberg High Trellis Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Our three course dinner will include:First Course (choice of one)<ul><li>Brie crémeux (breaded melted brie cheese served with a mixed berry compote. (vegetarian)</li><li>Smoked salmon served with homemade pickled vegetables (gluten free)</li></ul> Main Course (choice of one)<ul><li>Grilled salmon with a butter-white wine-dill sauce, served with rice and vegetables. (gluten free)</li><li>Smoked duck breast with our cassis sauce, served with potatoes and vegetables. (gluten free)</li><li>Vegetarian Penne: sun dried tomatoes, black olives, spinach and basil pesto topped with goat cheese (vegetarian - possibility without cheese for vegan)</li></ul>  Dessert Course (choice of one)<ul><li>Crème brulée (gluten free)</li><li>Chocolate mousse (gluten free)</li><li>possibility fruit sorbet for vegan upon request</li></ul>Coffee/Tea
