Question 1

Should I register under my name or my child's name?

Accepted Answer

You can register under whichever name you feel comfortable with.  Students are greeted by their instructor when they arrive and will fill in their registration form including their name, any health concerns we should be aware of and their emergency contact information.

Question 2

Does my child have to attend both dates?

Accepted Answer

Yes, both days are highly valuable and cover different topics.  In order to receive a certificate, a student must attend and engage with the learning in both sessions.

Question 3

Are both dates included in my purchase?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  One ticket covers the cost of both sessions. Sunday October 19th and Sunday October 26th.  Students must attend both sessions in order to earn their certificate.

Question 4

What should my child bring to class? What is provided?

Accepted Answer

Students should bring a water bottle and a positive attitude!  They may bring a stuffed animal or doll for diapering practice. Please don't buy new - we have spares!  We provide all writing materials, a babysitter's handbook to take home, and a light nut-free snack. (popcorn, fruit)

Question 5

Is there a written exam?

Accepted Answer

No. Course instructors will evaluate students based on their maturity in class, participation, engagement and ability to listen and follow directions.  Our philosophy is that anyone can be a great babysitter, regardless of their ability to take a written exam.
