Plus grande que nature, la cathédrale sonore du Cantor de Leipzig enflamme encore et toujours – plus de 270 ans après sa mort. Bach a défini la musique du 18e siècle : véritable pilier de la musique classique, son influence est encore palpable. Ce concert sera l’occasion de réentendre des œuvres de Bach (Komm, Jesu, Komm) et de montrer l’influence qu’il a eu sur les compositeurs des 19e au 21e siècles, de Mendelssohn à Evangelista.

Larger than life, the great Cantor of Leipzig's exhilaratingly modern music still inspires composers today - 270 years after his death. As a pillar of classical music, Bach and his music defined the 18th Century, and influences creators to this day. Along with some of Bach's most breathtaking works (Komm, Jesu, Komm), this concert showcases the hold he had on composers from the 19th to the 21st Century, from Mendelssohn to Evangelista.
