Join Bryn Joy, peer mentor with Eating Disorders NS to discuss back to school!

Join Bryn Joy, peer mentor with Eating Disorders NS, as she speaks from personal experience on all things back to school in the context of EDs, disordered eating/exercise, and diet culture. This workshop is suited for students entering or currently enrolled in post-secondary education, but parents, guardians, and mentors could also benefit from participating! The workshop will dive into the nitty gritty of ‘back to school’ – how it can facilitate/maintain disordered eating/exercise habits, bring on unhealthy coping mechanisms, and perpetuate diet culture. On the other hand, we’ll discuss the benefits of back to school – how it can be seen as a time for routine, a fresh start, and an opportunity to kick diet culture in the butt!
