Introduction to Soap Making
Last class sold out right away… we’ve been asked for a repeat!
Basic beginner soap recipe using common cooking oils.
Will discuss:
- Differences in soaping styles including hot and cold process
- The properties of oils and additives
- Getting started on a budget
- Online resources and where to source materials
- Safety practices
Participants will get to go home with some soap and lots of awesome info!
Amy is requesting art or crafty items, baked or home preserved goods, candles, seeds, plants, etc, in barter for attendance of this class.
As always, the folk school welcomes donations for the food bank (in addition to your barter items for the class leader), but this is not mandatory for participation. We drop off to the food bank on a monthly basis, after the makers swap.
**Please bring a juice box, small milk carton or a Tupperware you are willing to sacrifice - to use as a soap mold**
Max 18 participants, so please book your ticket asap! And if you are unable to attend, let us know and release your ticket back to eventbrite.
