Basic Maintenance Course
Overview
The Basic Maintenance Course is perfect for cyclists who want to learn the essential skills of bicycle care and upkeep. Led by our team of experienced mechanics, this course will guide you through the fundamentals of maintaining your bike for optimal performance and longevity.
We provide the bicycles for this course.
This single night (or day) course is offered Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoons at our main store location, it requires a minimum of two (2) participants and a maximum of six (6).
Key topics include:
- Gear and Brake Adjustments: Learn how to fine-tune your shifting and braking systems for smooth, efficient operation.
- Flat Tire Repair: Master the process of fixing flats quickly and confidently while out on the road or trail.
- Tool Usage: Get familiar with essential tools like torque wrenches, tire levers, and multi-tools, and understand when and how to use them.
- Maintenance Tips: Pick up invaluable tips and tricks that every cyclist should know for keeping their bike in top shape.
The course includes hands-on practice, with bicycles provided for all participants to work on during the session.
Course Details:
- Location: Bow Cycle & Sports (Main Store)
- Schedule: Classes are offered on Wednesday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
- Class Size: Minimum of 2 participants, maximum of 6 for a personalized learning experience. If the minimum is not met, participants will be notified of cancellation 48 hours prior to the class.
- Attendees will receive a cards good for one year of discounts with Bow Cycle
