City Central Learning Garden - SFU Surrey Campus

On Wednesday October 6th from 1:00 to 2:00pm, take your lunch break with us at Embark&#x27;s SFU Surrey and Central City Learning Gardens and learn how to grow your own vegetables! We will be exploring common organic and sustainable gardening practices, as well as providing each attendee with their own produce and seeds to bring home! Dress for the weather as we will be moving around and getting hands-on with the garden (we will also have a tented area!). Please, also bring gardening gloves if you have some, as we will only have disposable gloves available.Embark Sustainability&#x27;s work takes place on the unceded homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), səlil̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), kʷikʷəƛw̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Katzie, Semiahmoo, Qayqayt, and Tsawwassen Nations.COVID-19 RESTRICTIONSMasks are mandatory and we will practice distancing during the event. Embark Sustainability will provide sanitary tools and hand sanitizer.ACCESSIBILITYEmbark Sustainability events are free and open to Embark members which includes Simon Fraser University undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Embark Associate Members.This workshop is hosted at SFU Surrey - Central City Learning Gardens, located on the south side of the SFU Surrey campus on West Parkade on the 3rd level.
