 BCMF Info Session: Nelson

Creative BC is an independent society created and supported by the Province of BC to sustain and help grow BC’s creative sector (film and television, digital and interactive media, music, and magazine and book publishing industries). The society delivers a wide range of programs and services to expand BC’s creative economy. These include the administration of the provincial government’s tax credit programs for film and television; development funding and export marketing support; and motion picture production services to attract inward investment and market BC as a destination for domestic and international production. The society acts as an industry catalyst and ambassador to help BC’s creative sector reach its economic and creative potential both at home and globally.

ABOUT THE EVENT 
Creative BC is traveling to communities across British Columbia to announce the launch of new funding opportunities, discuss upcoming deadlines, and build relationships with music industry partners across the province. Join Brenda Grunau, the Manager of the BC Music Fund, for an overview of Creative BC, details on BC Music Fund programs and instructions on how to apply.
Info sessions will be held in Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Prince George, Smithers, and Nelson in January and February, with other locations soon to be added.
These info sessions are intended for BC artists and industry professionals, not-for-profit organizations, music companies, BC-based festivals, venues, event producers and presenters.

About the BC Music Fund
The Province of BC is providing a $15-million grant toward the creation of a BC Music Fund to support the growth of BC's music industry. The BC Music Fund will be administered through<A HREF="http://www.creativebc.com/about-us/index" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Creative BC </A>over the next two years with the goals of stimulating direct investment, job creation, music tourism, increased regional activity and the export of BC music. A full complement of funding programs will support BC musicians, live music presenters, music companies, and the full diversity of BC’s music industry.
