The 19th annual Brain Connectivity Workshop will be held virtually on May 25-28, 2021. Hosted by Dr. Randy McIntosh, Dr. Sean Hill & Dr. Olaf SpornsBrain Connectivity Workshop (BCW) has been going for 19 years now (http://www.brain-connectivity-workshop.org/) and is the major forum to discuss the theoretical and practical issues relating to brain connectivity. A unique character of the workshop is the format that emphasizes discussion over extensive presentations. Following the tradition of this workshop series, each of the invited speakers in the main workshop limit their presentation to 15 minutes and subsequently leads a thirty minute discussion focused on that topic. This format has been successful since the meeting's inception, and has always resulted in extensive and invigorating debate. As an essential part of BCW 2021, the one day educational course will also occur: Five leading experts in this field will deliver introductory lectures on different topics related to Brain Connectivity. In previous years, most of the registrants of the main workshop also attend and contribute to questions in the educational course. This year we will focus on Consciousness and Cognition: What does the mind think of the brain?https://bcw-2021.com______________________________________________________________________PROGRAM (for full workshop details, please see event website)Educational Sessions

Andreea Diaconescu | Bayesian models of Psychiatric Disorders | University of Toronto

Viktor Jirsa | Dynamical Systems | Aix Marseille University

Michael Mack | Cognitive Modeling | University of Toronto

Bratislav Misic | Graphs/Networks | McGill University

Petra Ritter | Multiscale Imaging/Modeling | Charité University

Workshop Speakers

Lisa Barrett | Brain-Body Interactions & Allostasis | Northeastern University

Dani Bassett | Network Control Theory | University of Pennsylvania

Gustavo Deco | Network Architectures in Cognition | Pompeu Fabra University

Athena Demertzi | Conscious & Unconscious States | University of Liege

Emily Finn | Fingerprinting Connectivity & Cognition | Dartmouth College

Karl Friston | TBD | University College London

Mike Halassa | Thalamocortical Interactions in Cognition | Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Biyu Jade He | Perceptual Awareness | New York University

Sean Hill | TBD | Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Toronto

Randy McIntosh | Hidden Repertoires in Cognition | University of Toronto

Rosalyn Moran | Bayesian Models, Free Energy | Kings College London

Mac Shine | Modulation of Network Dynamics | University of Sydney

Enzo Tagliazucchi | Consciousness and Entropy | University of Buenos Aires

Brandon Turner | Integration of Cognition and Neural Models | Ohio State University

______________________________________________________________________Registration is limited...so be sure to register NOW!We look forward to seeing you at BCW 2021!
