Behind the Brand

The Wilson School of Design houses eight design programs within KPU, Canada’s only polytechnic university, where we focus on hands-on skills in addition to traditional academics.We believe that the purpose of design is to universally and responsibly affect positive change. The Wilson School of Design is a catalyst for relevant and meaningful change. Change that positively affects people’s lives calls for rigorously exploring, identifying, and developing where the potential for progress lies. The potential we see and nurture in the students we select, and the potential for advancing society at large.

ABOUT THE EVENT
Behind the Brand is centered around a panel discussion to give industry and students an opportunity to hear from experienced professionals. Behind the Brand is established to create a conversation around the entrepreneurial factors that go into creating a brand in Vancouver and allow attendees to learn more about these local entrepreneurs. Guests will leave with a better understanding of what is required to grow a company and what fashion marketing consists of. 
Behind the Brand will take place at the new Wilson School of Design building in Richmond at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The event will be held on the 4th floor in room 4900, overlooking the beautiful city of Richmond.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Wilson School of Design supports students to take risks and innovate in small, personalized classes offering hands-on learning experiences and state-of-the-art equipment. The well connected faculty brings strong professional connections and a real-world experience to help the student grow to their professional network, or even launch their own start-up before graduation. LOCATION AND TRANSPORTATION INFO
We are located across from the Lansdowne Skytrain station and Lansdowne Mall (across from T&T Supermarket). There are several bus stops near our building, check with <A HREF="https://tripplanning.translink.ca/hiwire?.a=iHeadwaySheet&Date=07-25-2018&FromTime=%206:37p&LineDirId=338211&LineAbbr=050&StopDisplay=All&.s=10f01b3d" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Translink" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Translink</A> for details. Pay parking is available on the campus (inside the North entrance of our building, in the covered parkade or outside parking lot for $5 a day), parking at Lansdowne Mall may result in towing.
Please note that this event will be held on the 4th floor of the Wilson School of Design building (adjacent to the Richmond KPU campus).
