Analog: Creativity and Artificial Intelligence Conference (Toronto)

The Canada Media Fund (CMF) fosters, develops, finances and promotes the production of Canadian content and applications for all audiovisual media platforms. The CMF guides Canadian content towards a competitive global environment by fostering industry innovation, rewarding success, enabling a diversity of voice and promoting access to content through public and private sector partnerships. The CMF receives financial contributions from the Government of Canada and Canada’s cable, satellite and IPTV distributors.Le Fonds des médias du Canada (FMC) favorise, développe, finance et promeut la production de contenus canadiens et d’applications pour toutes les plateformes audiovisuelles. En outre, il oriente les contenus canadiens vers un environnement numérique mondial concurrentiel en soutenant l’innovation de l’industrie, en récompensant le succès, en favorisant la diversité des voix et en encourageant l’accès à des contenus grâce à des partenariats avec les secteurs public et privé. A half-day conference on  the transformations underway in the screen-based industry on the theme of creativity and artificial intelligence.

Curated by the Canada Media Fund and co-presented with Telefilm Canada, Analog is a series of half-day conferences on creativity and the transformations underway in the screen-based industry. Launching this Fall, Analog will unfold in three phases and in three Canadian cities: 👉🏼 Montréal (November 28) @ Zú 👉🏼 Vancouver (December 3) @ Vancity Theatre 👉🏼 Toronto (December 6) @ OCAD University Great Hall (2nd floor, accessible by stairs or elevator)Presenting leaders of Canada’s cultural, creative and technological scenes, the three events will be free and their common theme will be CREATIVITY AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. ⭐️ PROGRAMMING AND SCHEDULE ⭐️ 12:30 PM – Doors opening and arrival 1:15 PM – Word of welcome 1:30 PM– Panel: Artificial Intelligence and the Creative Industries Guests: Moderator: 👉🏼 Catherine Mathys (Canada Media Fund) Speakers: 👉🏼 Steve Engels (University of Toronto) 👉🏼 Shauna Jean Doherty (new media art curator and critic) 👉🏼 Jack Zhang (Greenlight Essentials Inc.)2:30 PM – Break 3 PM – In Conversation with David Usher Free access, reservation required.
