What do I need to bring?

We'll supply all the equipment necessary, but we encourage you to dress appropriately for the weather! Bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, proper walking shoes, and anything else you might need to be outdoors. Please also self-monitor for ticks.

Question 2

How do I get to campus?

Accepted Answer

We encourage you to take active or public transport to get to and from campus! Take the ION or a bus to the University of Waterloo station, or take a walking or cycling trail.

If you need to drive, you can park at lot X for free from Friday 4:30pm into the weekend.

Question 3

Can I sign up for overlapping guided hikes?

Accepted Answer

Kindly do NOT sign up for conflicting sessions. Each session will take place in a different location on campus and may include some walking.

Question 4

Are the guided hikes accessible?

Accepted Answer

Each hike will cover a different part of campus. Most will require some walking through wooded areas without paved roads. The other sessions will either take place indoors or in an accessible outdoor space.

Will dietary restrictions be accomodated?

Accepted Answer

All food will be vegetarian. There will also be vegan and gluten free options. If you have other dietary restrictions, please note that in your ticket order.

Question 6

Is the event rain or shine?

Accepted Answer

In the event of heavy rain, the opening ceremony and all meals will be served indoors. All guided hikes will go as scheduled unless there is thunder and lightning, or heavy wind or rain.
