This is a free program designed to empower Black boys aged 8 to 14 by providing them with STEM training, with a particular focus on math and coding proficiency.

How do I register my child for the program?

Please register through Eventbrite. After completing your registration, you will receive a final registration form via the email address you provided. Due to limited availability, we recommend registering early to secure your spot.

What safety measures are in place for online sessions?

Accepted Answer

We have multiple measures, including unique Zoom links for each session, password requirements, active moderation, and a three-strike system for disruptive behaviour. Your child's safety is our top priority.

What is the Black Boys Code Academy?

The Black Boys Code Academy is our virtual learning platform where participants access course materials, assignments, and other resources. Detailed instructions will be provided upon registration.

Is there an opportunity for my child to continue with Black Boys Code beyond this program?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we have monthly exposure workshops and a Summer Camp Program slated for 2025, and we invite participants of our after-school program to register. More details will be shared later.

How will I stay updated about the program's schedule and any changes?

Parents can opt-in for weekly text reminders. Additionally, we send the weekly Zoom link and reminders to all registered email addresses.

Feedback guides our program's growth, informs our sponsors about its impact, and helps us improve and cater to diverse needs. We encourage parents and participants to share their experiences and testimonials and complete our surveys.
