Can I chose my food and drinks in advance?

Accepted Answer

No. You will order your food through your server at your table, just like going out to dinner. A non-alcoholic welcome drink, appetizer, main, and access to the desert bar is included in your ticket price. Any additional items must be purchased through your server during the event.

Where can I park?

Metered on-street parking is available around OEB and can be paid using the ParkVictoria app. Nearby parkades— on Johnson St, and View St.—are within a short walk (under two blocks). Accessible parking stalls are available both in parkades and on-street.

Who is Vivian Vanderpuss?

Vivian Vanderpuss is a beloved Victoria-based drag performer and finalist from Canada’s Drag Race Season 3, who is known for her campy charm, glamour, and joyful stage presence. We are truly honoured and excited to have her hosting and performing at our event!

Is OEB Breakfast Co wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes! The restaurant has a street-level entrance, accessible washrooms, and several accessible tables. Booths and high-tops are not accessible. When booking, please select the “wheelchair accessible” seating option so we can reserve an appropriate table for you.

What is the Shelbourne Community Kitchen?

Shelbourne Community Kitchen offers low-barrier food distribution, cooking, and garden programs where people share skills and learn together. Centered on dignity, choice, and respect, our services work to lower barriers to healthy food for people experiencing food insecurity in our community.

Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options will be available. Please speak with your server once you have seated to discuss ingredients and options. If you have anaphylactic allergies, please email victoriamg@eatoeb.com in advance of the event.

Yes, this event proudly celebrates and centres LGBT2SQ+ performers and culture. And just like at The Kitchen, everyone is welcome. Whether you’re part of the community or an ally, we invite you to join us for a joyful, inclusive morning of fabulous drag, great food, and shared fun.

Is there an age limit?

This fundraiser is a 19+ event, as it takes place in a licensed venue and features an evening drag performance designed for an adult audience.

Are refunds available if I cannot attend?

Accepted Answer

If you cannot attend, you may either share your ticket(s) with other individuals or choose to convert your ticket to a donation and receive a tax receipt; please contact us before the event at kim@shelbournecommunitykitchen.ca.
