<h1>Brain Resilience Workshop</h1>SFU’s Institute for Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (INN) invites you to a workshop on May 15-17, 2023. This three-day workshop will cover several aspects of what determines brain resilience, from cells and circuits, to social and cultural factors. The three days will be thematically organized as follows:<blockquote>Day 1: Resilience &amp; Mental Health</blockquote><blockquote>keynote<a href="https://lisafeldmanbarrett.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">:</a><a href="https://labs.utsouthwestern.edu/foster-lab" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dr. Jane Foster</a>, UT Southwestern Medical Center</blockquote><blockquote>Day 2: Cell &amp; Circuit Mechanisms in Resilience</blockquote><blockquote>keynote: <a href="https://macvicarlab.med.ubc.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dr. Brian MacVicar</a>, University of British Columbia</blockquote><blockquote>Day 3: Resilience Across the Lifespan</blockquote><blockquote>keynote: <a href="https://www.sfu.ca/psychology/research/addl/about/lab-director.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dr. Grace Iarocci</a>, Simon Fraser University</blockquote>Each day will begin with a keynote talk from leading experts in brain resilience. The remainder of each day will consist of focused &#x27;ideas&#x27; talks which are followed by moderated discussions on key issues in the study of brain resilience. You may still register to join us via Zoom.This workshop will be a hybrid event, held both in-person and virtually from 9am to 5pm PST each day.
