The return of NBIF’s signature Breakthru pitch competition event will highlight the growing pipeline of cleantech innovation in the province. Up to five startups will be selected to present, and up to two will move forward for due diligence with NBIF, with a chance to receive up to $50,000 in equity investment.Le concours Breakthru : Accélérer les technologies propres permet à des entreprises en démarrage du domaine des technologies propres de présenter leurs innovations à un groupe d’investisseurs ainsi qu’à un public composé de chefs de file du secteur, de décideurs politiques et de partenaires de l’écosystème. Le retour du concours « Percée » de la FINB vise à mettre en lumière le bassin grandissant des innovations liées aux technologies propres dans la province. Jusqu’à cinq entreprises en démarrage seront sélectionnées pour présenter leur projet, et une ou deux seront retenues pour le processus de vérification préalable que fera la FINB avant d’accorder un investissement en capital à hauteur de 50 000 $. Breakthru was first launched in 2007 and has supported hundreds of entrepreneurs throughout our almost 20 years of startup competition history. Breakthru is an opportunity for up-and-coming companies and innovators to showcase their solutions, raise their profile, and secure early funding on their path to launching a tech startup.Breakthru: Accelerating Cleantech is part of NBIF’s Climate Impact Fund, a partnership between NBIF and OpportunitiesNB. The fund was established to accelerate innovation and commercialization of cleantech and emissions reduction technology in New Brunswick. Cette initiative stratégique contribue à la croissance économique et à la compétitivité de la province en aidant des entreprises en démarrage ainsi que des petites et moyennes entreprises néo-brunswickoises à effectuer la transition vers une économie à faibles émissions de carbone.
