"Bridging Borders", presented by Students Offering Welcome and the World University Service of Canada Guelph branch, is a panel event to learn more about the current refugee crisis as it relates to both the Guelph community and abroad. This event will feature several local experts who bring dynamic, varied experience and knowledge about the local refugee experience and the ongoing international refugee crisis. Conversation will revolve around the experiences of refugees, and the challenges and opportunities associated with facilitating their safe and welcoming resettlement. Our goal is to engage and educate community members and students in collaborative conversation about the refugee experience while raising funds for the Student Refugee Program and the Bikes for Refugees Program.Food will be provided and there will be vegetarian options.
