(ISC)² Alberta is the local chapter of (ISC)²® the largest nonprofit membership body of certified information security professionals worldwide, with nearly 125,000 members in more than 135 countries.Our focus is to inspire a safe and secure Alberta through various community outreach programs.

Hosted by (ISC)² Alberta, BSides Edmonton 2018 is the first grass roots Information Security Conference in the City of Edmonton. It is a two day high-caliber conference focused on all aspects of Information Security and Cyber Security.
Security BSides is a community-driven Information Security Conference by information security community members. The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and time. It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from participants. It is where conversations for the next-big-thing are happening.
