About this event
This in-person knowledge exchange between potato farmers in Ontario and students and professors at the University of Guelph aims to share lessons regarding sustainable best practices for potato production, spotlighting challenges within the sector and opening conversation and dialogue on the need to innovate (i.e., technology, labour, skills and information) to build resilience capacity regarding climate change consequences.
Registration is open to the first 70 participants including students, professors, OMAFRA officers and farmers who are interested in understanding and addressing sustainability challenges within the agricultural sector in Ontario.
The event will be lead by graduated students at the University of Guelph, and is supported by the Arrell Food Institute scholar.
Purpose of Event: To provide students and practitioners with an informative learning experience that highlights the importance and need to have a sustainable development framework that supports the transition to resilient and more efficient potato sector.
