The Brantford-Brant Business Resource Centre (BRC) is a division of the City of Brantford’s Economic Development and Tourism Department and part of the province’s network of Small Business Enterprise Centers that serve Ontario’s small business community.   The BRC’s goal is to assist in the creation and development of small business in Brantford, County of Brant, Haldimand County, Norfolk County and Six Nations of the Grand Riverproviding information, resources and free professional consultations on all aspects of an individual’s business needs.

Every new business starts with an idea. Are you thinking about starting a business but don’t know where to start? This interactive workshop will walk you through the basic start-up requirements including: registering a business and choosing a business name (the process and cost), legal entity structures (sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation) and their advantages and disadvantages, sources of financing, essential government &amp; industry regulations (licensing, permits, zoning, taxation, WSIB, payroll), business planning and legal and insurance considerations.SPACE IS LIMITED - PLEASE SECURE YOUR SEAT BY REGISTERING IN ADVANCE.*﻿THOSE WHO BOOK ONLINE WILL BE PROVIDED WITH A LINK TO JOIN THE SESSION PRIOR TO THE 9AM START TIME*
