Decorate your own Ukrainian-style Easter Egg at this free family-friendly workshop.

Join us for a free workshop to learn the art of Krapanka - a traditional Ukrainian technique that uses multi-coloured dots to decorate eggs for Easter. The tradition of decorating eggs at springtime an ancient one, as eggs symbolize creation and rebirth in many cultures. Please join us in celebrating the arrival of spring with this free workshop.Led by artist Mariya Blyznyuk. All are welcome!Support for this program was provided by the Friends of the Library - BWG. <h4>About Mariya Blyznyuk</h4>Mariya Blyznyuk us a Ukrainian Canadian artist, illustrator, educator, and cultural ambassador whose work blends classical fine art with vibrant Ukrainian folk traditions. She is the founder and owner of Green Lion Art Studio, where for over a decade she has been teaching painting, illustration, and design to children, youth, and adults. Her teaching practice is centred on creativity, confidence-building, and the emotional and therapeutic power of art.
