A four-day outdoor retreat for first and second year SFU students to connect, learn and practice dialogue with each other.

<p>CAMP is all about making friends, having fun and learning new skills. It's an opportunity to connect and engage with other 1st and 2nd year SFU students, all while building the skills and perspectives you need to feel confident for the rest of your time at SFU. </p><p>CAMP introduces students to the most essential and useful tools of dialogue like:</p><ul><li>Conversations to help you gain insight into complex problems</li><li>Opportunities to listen and speak from many diverse perspectives</li><li>Time for self-reflection and self-care to help you assess your own skills and abilities </li><li>Through CAMP, students also receive one official SFU co-curricular credit, free swag and prizes</li></ul><p>This retreat was also designed for students who want to trial a mini-version of Semester in Dialogue before fully enrolling. </p><p>This year, CAMP takes place from February 21 to 24th at Sasamat Outdoor Centre in Belcarra, British Columbia, located less than an hour drive from Vancouver and nestled on beautiful Sasamat Lake. Sasamat Outdoor Centre is a community-based non-profit organization that offers summer camps, leadership programs and outdoor education. They (and we) believe that time spent outdoors is time well spent, especially when we have the privilege of doing so together.</p>

<h2>R﻿egistration</h2><p>CAMP aims to be intersectional, inclusive and accessible. It is for this reason that we provide multiple financial options for program admission. The general admission fee for this event is $100 (with all participants receiving one SFU co-curricular credit in their records). However, as we are committed to our standards of accessibility and equity, various payment options are available.</p><p>In your application, please choose the payment option that best allows you to show up in your position. <h2>Land Acknowledgement</h2><p>We respectfully acknowledge that the təmtəmíxʷtən/Belcarra Regional Park are on the  territorial and ancestral lands and waters of the Hul'qumi'num(Coast Salish), S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), Qayqayt, səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ (Musqueam) and Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish) peoples.</p>

<h2>C﻿OVID-19 Protocols</h2><p>In accordance with the announcement by the Provincial Health Officer, face masks are now optional for indoor public spaces. </p><p>Please be mindful that event attendees will have different comfort levels. Please be understanding and compassionate of people’s individual circumstances and individual choices.</p>
